There are many excuses not to take exercise: too busy, too tired and too unfit are common ones. But exercising, or being active, for at least 30 minutes, five times a week will improve your health and help you live longer.
Scientific research has confirmed that physical exercise is an essential part of any weight-loss programme, while having a multitude of other health benefits. At any age, exercise can protect us against disease and even help make us better when we do get ill.
