Vitality is the health and wellness incentive programme that sets PruHealth apart. It’s why our cover benefits everyone, not just those who claim. We encourage our members to improve their health by doing certain everyday things, like walking, going to the gym, eating healthily or not smoking, and then we give them Vitality points for doing so.
With Vitality points, members can gain rewards at renewal, depending on their claims. As well as that, they could get discounts from PruHealth’s gym, health screening and fitness Vitality partners throughout the year. They could also make big savings with PruHealth’s reward partners – Eurostar, Mark Warner holidays, Champneys Health Spas and Cineworld.
The more Vitality points members earn, the higher their Vitality status can become. They can improve their status from Bronze (where everyone starts) to Silver, Gold and, with enough effort, Platinum. The more they do to look after themselves, the greater the rewards they could receive.

How we reward members depends on whether they have a policy with us directly, or through their employer as part of a group scheme.
When Direct members join/switch to PruHealth, they can get up to 25% no claims discount on their premium. Each year they don’t claim on their policy, this discount will increase, going up to a maximum of 35%. Each year they make a claim, this discount will decrease.

In addition to this, they could also receive a Vitality renewal reward. Regardless of any claims, the higher their Vitality status the more cashback they could qualify for. They get 1 month’s average premium for achieving Silver status, 2 months’ for Gold or 3 months’ for Platinum.
For groups, the employer can choose how their employees are rewarded at renewal. This can be a “cashback” reward or a top up to their personal health fund (a virtual pot of money that can be used for certain services not included in your standard cover).
